From 17th to 18th July, the vice president of Chengdu branch Yongtao Zhao and the vice director of Sichuan Commission of economy and information technology Gang Zhai led the entrepreneurs of Lutianhua and Dagang to the Shanxi Coal Chemistry Institute, in order to establish cooperation on coal chemistry, advanced materials, and other fields. On the side of Shanxi Coal Chemistry Institute,the institute director Jianguo Wang, secretary of the party committee, vice director Rong Cai, Yitian Fang, science development director Xianglin Hou attended the survey.
In the morning of 17th, the survey group visited the medium-size test factory located in Xiaodian, coal transform national key laboratory, carbon materials CAS key laboratory. The survey group spoke highly of the every major technology achievement from research to medium-size factory, the ideas for the industrialization development, and the comprehensive auxiliaries.
In the afternoon, the survey group had an informal discussion with the institute leaders and researchers. The director showed warm welcome and introduced the general situation of the institute.
Mr.Zhao indicated that many research results of Shanxi Chemistry institute have been successfully applied to companies like Lutianhua and Sichuan Chuanyue. Chengdu branch would support the collaboration between institutes and enterprises, to encourage the coal chemistry institute to transfer more achievements to Sichuan-Chongqing-Tibet area by deepening communication, so as to serve for the area economy growth.
Mr. Zhai expressed that he was glad to have the opportunity to survey the coal chemistry institute with Chengdu branch, and highly recognized the institute’s contributions to the coal chemistry area of China. He pointed out that the Sichuan Province Government pays high attention to the cooperation between the province and CAS, and hopes that the results of CAS can be transferred into applications in Sichuan. He introduced the problems they were facing in the gas chemical industry and the direction for industry transfer and upgrade. He hopes that relevant companies can seize the chance of the cooperation with the institute, to combine gas and coal, fully utilize resources, start comprehensive strategic cooperations, connect the industry chain, concentrate on finish machining and produce high-level products, manifest the features of Sichuan, and further improve the creativity of industries.
The vice director of sci-tech development department Mr. Jiang Dong introduced their major achievements in the area of energy, environment, green chemical engineering, and advanced materials. Chengdu branch sci-tech cooperation office director Xiaobo Jiang briefly introduced the progress in the collaboration between Sichuan and the branch. Relevant research staffs had deep discussion with the enterprise representatives on the issue of high-pressure gasification technology, coal bed gas deoxygenation technology, utilization of tail gas, etc.
On 18th, the survey group went to Changzhi to visit the Shanxi Luan coal-based synthesis oil project. This project is based on the “coal-based liquid fuel synthesis industrialization” independently developed by the Shanxi coal chemistry institute of CAS. This technique has been approved by the professionals in CAS and the 863 group of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Among them, the F-T synthesis techniques, 160 thousands synthesized oil IGCC system key technology research development have been listed in major project “gas based poly-generation demonstration project”of the national “863”plan about the advanced energy technology. In December 12th 2008, the cobalt-based static bed device of Luan coal based oil synthesis demonstration project has successfully produced the first barrel of coal-based oil. This project utilized wasted high-sulfur down-grade coil, coke over gas, coal bed gas, and tail gas, to produce oils and downstream high-level chemical product, and realize the combining utilization of one waste and three categories of gas. It is a typical reflection of our idea of pluralistic development on the coal base. Coal-based oil synthesis is a typical project on the integrated utilization of resources and recycling economics; it is not only a pioneering work in China, but the core techniques and manufacturing techniques are also leading in the world.
