Executive Vice Governor Zhong Mian Pays a Visit to Academicians Zhao Ermi and Zhang Jingzhong

On February 9, Zhong Mian, executive vice governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, paid a visit to Zhao Ermi and Zhang Jingzhong, academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, accompanied by Zhang Yudong, president of CAS Chengdu Branch. Zhong, on behalf of the CPC Provincial Committee and the Provincial People’s Government, extended the best regards and wishes to them for the Spring Festival.   

During the visit, Zhong inquired about the living conditions and concerns of the two academicians, listened to their suggestions for economic and social development of Sichuan, and spoke highly of their contribution to the fundamental research field and their scientific spirit of dedication and preciseness. Moreover, Zhong expressed his wishes that two academicians would remain healthy, keep taking the lead in the scientific field, and make greater contribution to technological innovation, talent development, popularization of science, etc.

The two academicians expressed thanks for the care and help from the CPC Provincial Committee and the Provincial People’s Government, and then shared their learning and research experiences. Finally, both said they would do their utmost efforts to promote the economic and social development of Sichuan with their expertise.
