Ding Zhongli, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Xu Ruiming, director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Bureau of Frontier Science and Education reviewed Chengdu Branch. Chengdu Branch present Zhang Yudong, party secretary and executive vice president Wang Xueding ,vice president Chen Feng and deputy party secretary Wang Jiatu participated in the conference hosted by Zhang Yudong.
Wang Xueding on behalf of branch leadership reported the achievements of Chengdu Branch in recent years. He reviewed and analyzed the challenges that the Chengdu Branch are facing. He hoped that the CAS can increase policy support to the western region research institute and educational resources, helping Chengdu Branch to resolve historical issues.
Ding Zhongli pointed out that under the background of national innovation and entrepreneurship, the institutes should emancipate the mind, to encourage scientific research personnel to go out and increase scientific research achievements transformation, and service the economic and social development. Also suggested Chengdu Branch can resolve the historical issues and promote the innovation and development of the “first action” plan.
Prior to the research forum, Ding Zhongli investigated the CAS Sichuan translational medical research hospital in Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital. In the next two days, Ding Zhongli also researched the Institute of Optics and Electronics, Chengdu Institute of Biology, the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment and Chengdu Documentation and Information Center.
