Zhangmu Landslide Exploration Project，which undertaken by Institute of Mountain Hazard and Environment, CAS, has passed acceptance inspection in Beijing.
Bureau of Science & Technology for Development, CAS hosted a meeting for “Zhangmu Landslide Exploration Project” in Beijing on June 2nd, 2013. IMHE researcher Wei Fangqiang reported the major works, exploration and evaluation results, integrated prevention scheme and investment estimation of this project. The project was highly regarded by experts from Ministry of Land and Resources, Land and Resources Department of Tibet Autonomous Region, and related departments. The project was considered as an important foundation for landslide prevention scheme, which points out the direction to engineering design in next step.
In the meeting, experts also expressed their aspiration to carry out research works about other geological disasters in Zhangmu in the future.
